Who We Are

Garlic Mustard Pull

On May 19th - 2007, several Ulao Creek Partnership members participated in a Garlic Mustard Pull on the WE Energies properly located off of STH 32 and Ulao Parkway and Tom Latzl’s property adjacent to WE Energies in an effort to remove garlic mustard from this impressive woodlot.

Garlic mustard, as you all know, is a very aggressive invasive species that can completely alter and degrade woodland communities. Over the past several years, garlic mustard has begun to spread throughout the watershed.  There are at least 1/2-dozen sites and more and more location each year where it is popping up in small populations. The best time to try to manage for this species is when it first begins to colonize a site.
